Although John Stagliano's The Fashionistas is currently grabbing all the attention in terms of epic presentation and scope, The Ass Collector - also from Evil Angel - runs it a close second.

Not as extravagantly packaged, this collectors edition DVD nevertheless comes on two discs, with a soundtrack CD thrown in as well. All admirable stuff, particularly as the film itself is good enough to recommend whole-heartedly.

Rocco Siffredi's most ambitious project since his astonishing Bond-like Rocco Never Dies, this is a dark, disturbing action/horror spectacular that combines car chases and cum shots to great effect. The big budget doesn't mean that the film compromises on the levels of anal intensity that Rocco is known for, but does ensure that the film holds up both as a movie and a hot porn experience.

As with Rocco Never Dies, the film is unfortunately et down by the heavily-accented English spoken by the mainly East European cast - perhaps dubbing would help, or at least restricting the dialogue scenes to actors comfortable with the English language. That niggle aside though, this is a classic movie and well worth seeking out.

The extensive DVD extras include a lengthy and entertaining making-of documentary and extra sex scenes, alongside the usual stuff like trailers and biogs.
